Record 15,000 Visitors to Gush Etzion

Tourist sites in the Gush Etzion bloc of Judean Jewish communities have reported a record 15,000 visitors during the intermediate days of this year's Passover holiday. Leading the way was the Eretz Ha'ayalim deer farm, which drew 6,000 people Wednesday and Thursday, and had to close because it was too crowded. Another 5,000 packed the Herodion, King Herod's summer palace and the water caves he built, on the grounds of the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel's Gush Etzion Field School, were also popular.
