Eastern Jerusalem Youth Drowns at Gan Hashelosha Park

A 17-year-old Arab from eastern Jerusalem drowned, Thursday, in the naturally-warm waters of the Gan Hashelosha (Sahne in Arabic) national park in the Beit She'an Valley of eastern Israel. Despite efforts to revive him, he died at Ha'emek Hospital in Afula. The youth was among a number of people who suffered from improper ingestion of water on Thursday.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu called on the public to be careful after consulting with Public Safety Minister Yitzchak Aharonovitch on efforts to find three other minority members who disappeared after entering the water at Ashkelon.
