House Arrest for Congolese Soccer Player in Murder Case

The Petach Tikva Magistrates Court ordered, Thursday, the release to house arrest of Serge Lofo Bongeli, a citizen of the Congo who plays for Premiere League socccer team Maccabi Netanya , who was arrested in connection with the murder of a young woman whose body was found next to a Netanya hotel on Wednesday evening. The court allowed him to continue to play for his team.

At the same time the court extended the remand of Aritzia Akalsangu, the prime suspect in the case, by a week. The investigation continues.
