The Syrian opposition was invited to Tuesday's Arab League summit in Doha and will get the Syrian government's seat in the organization, according to a senior league official cited by Agence France Presse.
A coalition of opponents of Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad said it would send temporary president Ghassan Hitto to the meeting.
