The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange ended the trading week, Thursday with modest to moderate losses in a relatively light day of international trading. The TA Composite Index closed at 1,102.43, down .74 percent, while the TA 100 declined .76 percent to 1,104.14, including a .82-percent drop to 1,239.09 by the TA 25 most-widely-invested issues. The 50 stocks just outside the TA 100 lost half a percent to 467.77.
Worst hit was the bio-med index, which fell 1.74 percent to 830.01, while the rest of the technology issues stood at 320.35, down 1.19 percent. Next came the bank stocks at 1,149.97, down 1.72 percent as the financial institutions finished at 1,114.94, down 1.08 percent on the day, including a 1.04-percent loss to 1,320.68 by the insurance index. The real-estate issues lost three quarters of a percent to 330.18, followed by the communications stocks, which stood at 541.90, down .33 percent, while the oil and natural-gas index declined .16 percent to 1,178.09.
