Shekel, Pound, Euro Up, Dollars Mixed, Yen Down

The official value of the shekel rose an average of .176 percent, Thursday afternoon, in mixed trading against the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.676, down .109 percent from Wednesday's rate, while the Euro edged up .042 percent to 4.7522 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at NIS 5.5812, up .298 percent, while 100 Japanese yen slipped .054 percent to 3.8566 shekels. The Australian dollar rose .314 percent to NIS 3.8341, while its Canadian counterpart was fixed at 3.5974 shekels, up .228 percent, and the South African rand declined .252 percent to NIS. 3955.
