The pound sterling was set at NIS 5.5812, up .298 percent, while 100 Japanese yen slipped .054 percent to 3.8566 shekels. The Australian dollar rose .314 percent to NIS 3.8341, while its Canadian counterpart was fixed at 3.5974 shekels, up .228 percent, and the South African rand declined .252 percent to NIS. 3955.
