He regularly honors her and invites her to attend important events under his auspices. “Little Shai was exceptionally sensitive,” reflects Brodt. “He would share his lunch when someone else forgot theirs, and would make a point of involving less popular classmates in playtime. I used to wish I could adopt him.”
