Director Eli Binn of the Magen David Adom (MDA-Red Star of David) emergency service has ordered that the preparedness of the staff throughout the country be raised to Level 2 during the visit of United States President Barack Obama. The raised alert level is scheduled to start at 7:00 Wednesday morning and remain in effect until Friday afternoon at 3:00.

In addition, MDA will serve as part of the security detail for the presidential entourage.
