France condemned Monday’s airstrike by the Syrian army in Lebanon, noting that President Bashar Al-Assad’s military had violated the sovereignty of Syria's neighbor.

“The aerial attack carried out by the military forces of the Syrian regime in Lebanon, in the city of Arsal, is a new and serious violation of Lebanese sovereignty,” said a spokesman for the French Foreign Ministry.
