MK Gilad Erdan of Likud met with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Sunday to be given his role in the next government. Netanyahu told Erdan that he will serve as Minister of Home Front Defense as well as Minister of Communications. In addition, he will be responsible for strategic dialog with the United States.
Netanyahu was forced to combine some ministerial roles in order to fulfill a coalition promise, made to the Yesh Atid party, to reduce the number of ministers in the next government.
