The Kinneret rose by 1.5 centimeters over the weekend, a much slower rate of increase than has been seen earlier in the winter. Rains nearly stopped last week, returning only Saturday evening.
Winter officially ends on March 21. Jews will stop praying for rain in the middle of next week with the beginning of the Passover holiday.
