Shekel, Pound, Euro Up, Dollars Mixed, Yen Down

The official value of the shekel rose an average of .02 percent Friday, in mixed trading against the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.681, down .514 percent, while the Euro rose .422 percent to 4.8048 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at NIS 5.5756, up .823 percent, while 100 Japanese yen declined .276 percent to 3.8254 shekels. The Canadian dollar slipped .064 percent to 3.6042 shekels, while its Australian counterpart was fixed at NIS 3.817, down .41 percent, and the South African rand slipped .025 percent to .4009 shekels.
