Habayit Hayehudi (Jewish Home-New National Religious Party) is expected to sign an agreement to enter the Likud-Beyteinu government Friday afternoon, once talks between Likud-Beyteinu and the Yesh Atid party are complete. Habayit Hayehudi is scheduled to vote on ratification of the agreement on Sunday.
Under agreements reached, early Friday morning, Habayit Hayehudi will three ministerial portfolios to cover the five government offices of Religious Affairs, Pensioner Affairs, Construction, Jerusalem and Diaspora Affairs, and Economy and Trade. The party will also have deputy ministers in the Religious Affairs and Education Ministries. Chairman Naftali Bennett will chair the Ministerial Committee on the Cost of Living, Centralization of Wealth and Encouragement of Competition. The party will chair the Knesset Finance Committee and head the joint committee on equal burden of service, which is trying to increase hareidi-religious participation in military and national volunteer service.
