Restrictions on Muslim Males on Temple Mount Friday

Jerusalem District Police Commander Yossi Pariente decided, Thursday evening, to restrict Muslim access to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem's Old City to men aged 50 and over who carry blue Israeli identity cards. There will be no restrictions on women.

The decision was made in the light of Muslim intent to create disorder following the end of Friday services at Temple Mount mosques. Thousands of police and Border Guards will be deployed in the Old City and other parts of eastern Jerusalem.
