According to a Panels and Shalem center report, 79% of Israeli college students choose a particular field based on financial considerations. If endowed with financial independence, 1500% more would study Philosophy, 825% more would choose art, six times as many would study math, four times as many literature, and 2005 more for Middle Eastern studies.
In a world free of financial requirements, 66% less would study engineering, Business Management would be reduced by 49%, Computer Science by 35%, Accounting by 25%, and Law by 17%.
