Health Ministry Seeks to Cut TA Marathon due to Heat

Representatives of the Health Ministry asked the Tel Aviv municipality, Tuesday morning, to hold only one half of Friday's Tel Aviv-Gillette marathon, because of the forecast of Sharav heatwave conditions, according to Israel Defense Forces RadioThe ministry's goal was for the last runner to cross the finish line around 8:30 a.m.

On Monday, organizers announced that the various races in the marathon package would start half an hour earlier than originally planned.
