Coalition Talks to Focus on Education Ministry

Negotiations between the Likud-Beyteinu faction and the Yesh Atid party are scheduled to continue, Tuesday. Some analysts say Yesh Atid's demand to receive the education portfolio in the cabinet is holding up finalization of the formation of the government. The Likud reportedly wants to keep the ministry in the hands of Gid'on Sa'ar.

As things stand, 11 ministerial posts will go to Likud-Beyteinu, five to Yesh Atid and three to Habayit Hayehudi (Jewish Home-New National Religious Party).
