Three Islamist terrorists were arrested in the south of France on suspicion of planning a terror attack in the upcoming days, the prosecutor in Paris said on Monday.
Police discovered weapons and explosives at the home of one of the suspects and communications between the men implied that they were planning on carrying out the plot in the coming days.
"The investigation showed we were faced with a veritable laboratory for making improvised explosive devices and, even if we had no evidence of a precise plan, the messages exchanged by the participants suggested the timetable could be accelerated," the prosecutor told reporters.
The arrests came exactly one year after Islamist terrorist Mohamed Merah killed three Jewish schoolchildren and a Rabbi at a Jewish school in Toulouse.
