Two U.S. soldiers were killed in Afghanistan in what officials are calling an insider attack on US and Afghan focus at a joint base in the country's eastern region.

Coalition forces on Monday said a man, dressed in an Afghan military uniform, opened fire at soldiers and security officials on the base, killing the US soldiers, three policemen and two Afghan army officers.
