The Norwegian parliament is reconsidering the aid it gives to the Palestinian Authority, based on information tying the aid to salaries of terrorists being held by Israel. Interviewed, Sunday, on Arutz Sheva's Hebrew journal, Itamar Marcus of Palestinian Media Watch said that the information was in Palestinian Authority media reports supplied by his organization. He added that parliament members are outraged that Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide tried to cover up the connection between the aid and the prisoner salaries, and have asked for a committee of inquiry.
Marcus said that other countries, such as Britain, are also reconsidering their positions, thanks to the efforts of PMW. He said the organization prefers to be viewed as an objective independent research organization, but if PMW received funding from the government, it could speed up its efforts.
