A recent report revealed that an undercover Transportation Security inspector was able to get through two checkpoints and was cleared to get on a plane at Newark Liberty International Airport in the New York region with a bomb in his pants.
U.S. Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) blasted security officials for allowthing this to happen, saying, “Have one bomb go off one airplane, and apart from the tragic loss of human life, this will bring us right back to September 11, (2001),” King told WCBS 880.
“It’s absolutely disgraceful that almost 12 years after September 11, that an explosive device could be brought an airplane in an airport – especially one so close to Ground Zero, the Newark Airport. And there has been a pattern of bad behavior at Newark Airport by TSA inspectors,” he said.
