8 UN Troops Ordered to Abandon Golan Posts

Eight United Nations soldiers serving on the Syrian side of the Golan Heights cease-fire line were transferred to Israel after they received orders, Thursday evening, to abandon their posts near the two countries' border with Jordan in the southern Golan, the region where Syrian rebels are holding  21 of their comrades, according to Agence France Presse.

Soldiers from the Israel Defense Forces and the U.N.'s Disengagement Observer Force received the soldiers. They were evacuated to the U.N.'s Ein Zivanit camp next to the Kuneitra Crossing near the middle of the Israeli-Syrian frontier.
