The Diaspora Ministry has announced its selection of Independence Day ceremony torch lighters, a rich representation of Israeli society and heritage. Among them are 3 professors (one a Bedouin), Journalist Rino Tzror, Settlement Researcher Muki Tzur, and two youth group members.

Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Symbols and Ceremonies, Tourism Minister Stas Misejnikov says “The selection of torch lighters for the 65^th Independence Day is a fine representation of the historic and cultural assets that are the foundation of our national heritage.”
