A group called Pikuach Nefesh or 'saving lives' released a letter calling for unity and opposing any further land concession to the Palestinian Authority. The letter includes the signatures of 350 faith-based community leaders in Israel.
"Is this the time to argue and engage in petty quarrels of who will control which political offices and certain jobs? What matters now saving the lives of Jews," the letter stated.
In recent days the negotiations for the government coalition has led to heated words between political parties. The tension is heightened by the fact that the ruling Likud-Beitenu party may have to choose which party to accept and which party to lave of of the coalition.
The letter called on all party leaders to greet American President Barack Obama a clear statement to never relinquish land to a foreign entity even for a peace treaty. "Only by standing firm on the borders of the Holy Land will we bring real peace with our neighbors," the statement read.
