Lebanese Foreign Minister Adnam Mansour called on Wednesday to cancel the suspension of Syria from the Arab League in order to help find a solution to the country's civil war. 

"I call to remove restrictions on Syria's membership in the Arab League," Mansour said during a meeting of the League, stressing, "Communication with Syria is essential to reach a political solution." 

The Arab League suspended Syria's membership in November 2011, eight months after the outbreak of the civil war.
