The National Council for Planning and Building decided today not to approve the establishment of a new community in the Lower Galilee region. The issue instead will be moved to a forum in the new government where it will be discussed again.
 
The Society for the Protection of Nature advocated against the establishment of that particular community in that particular location. The group stated, "The strengthening of the Galilee is an important goal and can be achieved by expansion of existing communities." The group said they were against "establishing new communities which have a negative impact on nature, landscape and open spaces."
