Police Investigate Labor Party Primary Irregularities

Police yesterday announced that it has opened an investigation into suspicions of violations in the Labor party primaries. Materials regarding irregularities reached the Investigation and Intelligence Division which decided to open an investigation. Although cheating may have indeed taken place, political rivals could also have leaked the materials. The police will conduct a full investigation and then determine whether or not any labor party candidates "bought" votes or whether the primaries were conducted according to regulations. Labor party leaders have denied the allegations.
