Obama Expected to Name New Secret Service Chief

U.S. President Barack Obama is expected to appoint David O'Connor, a former assistant director of investigations, to head the Secret Service, the agency tasked with protecting the president and other top officials, a post which does not require Senate confirmation.

The decision has not been verified by the White House yet.
