MK Ayelet Shaked (Bayit Yehudi) explained on Sunday that the primary reason for her party’s alliance with the Yesh Atid party was to prevent Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu from forming a coalition made up of leftist and hareidi parties.
Speaking to Arutz Sheva, MK Shaked said, “The Prime Minister is the one leading the process. Unfortunately he wanted to establish a government made up of the left and the hareidim and leave Bayit Yehudi in the opposition. We had to do what it takes to prevent it, so we reached understandings with Yesh Atid. I hope the Prime Minister will solve this. I think Bayit Yehudi and Yesh Atid have more in common than so Livni’s Hatnua party, that has agreed to split Jerusalem, and the Likud.”
