A stabbing attempt was thwarted, Sunday evening, when a Palestinian Authority Arab who drove up to a Border Guard roadblock near Taibe aroused the suspicions of police staffing the checkpoint. A knife fell out of the Arab's pocket as police sought to search him after he identified himself as someone else. He caught the knife and tried to stab a female police officer and a Border Guard. They overcame him and arrested him. No injuries were reported.
