UN Search Finds 42,000 Nazi Sites

A United Nations research project has turned up 42,000 sites in Europe once used by the Nazi regime. The number includes ghettos, forced labor camps, concentration camps, death camps and more sites operated between 1933 and 1942.

The study is unique in combining information from roughly 400 sources and in determining the sites’ precise  location and use.
