Jerusalem police arrested on Friday eight residents of the Arab Beit Safafa neighborhood on suspicion of disorderly conduct during a protest against the construction of a portion of Highway 4 in their neighborhood. 300 of the neighborhood's residents participated in the demonstration, trying to block the road between the Pat junction and the Gilo neighborhood.
The protesters claim that the new road is designed to serve the residents of Gush Etzion, and hurt their daily routine.
