Israeli tank fire wounded three Gaza residents, Friday, near the Hamas-ruled area's border with the Jewish state, according to Agence France Presse. Health Ministry Spokesman
Ashraf Al-Qudra told AFP that the three, "farmers, around 20 years of age, were moderately wounded by a tank shell and taken to Shifa Hospital in Gaza City." He said the men had been working in fields east of El-Bureij.
An Israeli army spokeswoman said no such incident was known to the military. Under the terms of a November ceasefire agreement, Israel may fire on Gazans who come closer than a buffer zone up to 100 meters (yards) from the border fence. Previous claims of similar shootings have often proven baseless.
