The shekel rose an average of .478 percent, Thursday, against most of the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.708, down .536 percent, while the Euro declined .477 percent to 4.8629 shekels.
The pound sterling was set at NIS 5.6302, down .292 percent, while 100 Japanese yen fell 1.074 percent to 4.0235 shekels. The Australian dollar rose .14 percent to NIS 3.8041, while its Canadian counterpart was fixed at 3.6204 shekels, down .328 percent. The South African rand was set at NIS .4191, down .309 percent, while the Norwegian krone lost .795 percent to .6491 shekels and the Swedish krona was set at NIS .5751, down .674 percent.
