Congress May Term Iran Rev. Guards Terror Organization

A new Congressional bill suggests granting the president the power to slap penalties on foreign bodies that transfer goods to Iran that help the local economy there function despite sanctions.

The bill, supported by both Republican and Democratic members of Congress, also widens the scope of the president's power to limit strategic imports to Iran, such as electronic gear, that might be used to further the nuclear efforts of that country.

The bll also suggests defining the Iranian Revolutionary Guards as a teror organization.
