A Cairo court ruled Tuesday night that the Egyptian government must destroy the illegal underground tunnels between Egypt and Gaza. 

The appeal was filed on behalf of Egypt's leftist parties who believe the tunnels are a "security risk to the citizens of Egypt." 

Morsi's national security affairs advisor, Issam Haddad, said that Egypt "will not tolerate weapons smuggling through the tunnels."
