Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas has accused Israel of deliberately inciting unrest among Arab residents of Judea and Samaria, AFP reports. Abbas reportedly said, “The Israelis want chaos and we know it but we won’t let them.”

Abbas spoke in response to a request from Israel that he work to quiet unrest in territories under the PA’s control. There have been several Arab riots in Judea and Samaria in recent days as the PA blames Israel for the death of a terrorist in an Israeli prison.
