The father of a 16-year-old girl found dead Sunday in the Israeli Bedouin town of Kseifa has been arrested and had his remand extended for three days Monday morning. He is suspected of having murdered his own daughter in a so-called “honor killing.”

The father, Ali Kreishat, has committed violent crimes in the past. He is suspected of having murdered his daughter along with at least two other men due to his displeasure over a suspected romantic relationship.
