Limited Release for "Modesty Watch" Suspects

Two people suspected of running a "modesty watch" in the Judean city of Beitar Ilit were released from custody under limiting conditions, Sunday, by the Rishon Letzion Magistrates Court. The suspects are accused of taking upon themselves to supervise modesty on buses and streets of the city, to the point of incidents of violence and other crimes on the pretext of preserving the city's religious character.

The pair was arrested by the National Fraud Unit last Monday, following an undercover operation that lasted a number of months. They deny the charges.
