Police in the northern district cracked down on underage drinking over the weekend in advance of the Purim holiday. Police investigated dozens of small neighborhood stores suspected of selling drugs or of selling alcohol to minors.

Thirty-two storeowners are facing charges related to illegal alcohol sales, and 55 people are under investigation for suspected drug use.
