The surface of the Kinneret rose by 4 centimeters over the weekend, thanks to a rainy Sabbath. The lake is now 210 meters and 25.5 centimeters below sea level.
The Kinneret is 2 meters and 74.5 centimeters above the bottom “red line,” beyond which it is unsafe to draw water. The lake is Israel’s largest single source of fresh water.
