A joint statement following Friday morning's coalition talks between Likud Beyteinu and Habayit Hayehudi (Jewish Home-New National Religious Party) said that the talks were held in good spirits and dealt principally with increased hareidi-religious military and national volunteer service. Some of the discussions related to clarifications over Tzipi Livni's joining the government. They will continue during a session scheduled for next week, with an additional meeting about the budget also scheduled.
The Likud-Beyteinu team proceeded from the meetings with Habayit Hayehudi to coalition negotiations with Co-chairmen Ariel Attias, Aryeh Der'i and Eli Yishai of the Shas party.
