Australian Attorney General Mark Dreyfus says that Australian-Israeli Ben Zygier, who killed himself in the Ayalon Prison in 2010, was not in contact with the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation. Dreyfus' office issued a statement that a briefing he received from ASIO Director-General David Irvine was entirely consistent with a recent statement to that effect by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.
Since the recent revelation of the case, Zygier's name has been linked to the Mossad intelligence agency.
