The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange registered moderate to sharp losses to end the trading week on Thursday. The TA Composite Index closed at 1,084, 74, down 1.64 percent, while the TA 100 fell 1.7 percent to 1,085.80, including a 1.92 percent decline to 1,218.00 by the TA 25 most-widely-invested issues.
Worst hit were the bank stocks, which plunged 2.62 percent to 1,173.55 as the financial institutions finished the day at 1,107.60, down 2.02 percent, including a 507.93.95-percent drop to 1,255.20 by the insurance index. The real-estate issues stood at 321.46, down 1.92, followed by most of the technology issues, which stood at 322.01, down 1.57 percent, while the biomed issues lost 1.48 percent to 829.62. The communications index stood at 507.93, down 1.12 percent, while the oil and gas stocks slipped .16 percent to 1,131.22.
