Chief Rabbi Pleads on behalf of Torah

Multitudes flocked to Har HaMenuchot cemetery in Jerusalem in anticipation of the anniversary of the passing of Sephardic Mentor and Kabbalist Rabbi Haim David Azoulai, The ‘Chida’.

Chief Rabbi Yona  Metzger approached the tomb of former Chief Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu who labored to reinter the Chida’s remains in Israel. “May G-d allow Rabbi Eliyahu to plead before Him on behalf of the nation, that Torah students be able to continue their endeavors. Rabbi, you protected the study of Torah so much during your lifetime. I am certain that political opinions would be different were you with us today. May your Rabbinical innovation go on forever.”
