The Antiquities Authority has excavated a rare discovery of wine presses and beer breweries from the Byzantine period beneath infrastructural construction of a Jaffa highway.

Jaffa has a rich historic agricultural industry, described even in early Egyptian texts from thousands of years ago.

The industrial facilities from 6^th-7^th century Byzantine Israel recently discovered shed more light on the rich tapestry of the history of the Holy land. (NRG)
