The Palestinian Authority on Wednesday morning congratulated Tzipi Livni on her entrance into the new Israeli government. Political Advisor to Mahmoud Abbas, Nimer Hammad, said that he sees Livni's receival of full and broad powers to manage the negotiations as a positive sign. 

"Livni's public position is positive. She has the knowledge and experience required of the peace process and she knows the view of the Palestinian side of the solution," said Hamad.
