Morsi Advisor: Cairo Won't Allow Smuggling of Weapons

An advisor to Egyptian President  Mohammed Morsi said that it was in Cairo's interest not to allow the  smuggling of weapons into Gaza because it may upset the already fragile stability in Sinai.

Attorney Issam Elhaddad said on Wednesday that Egypt's security forces captured heavy weapons from across the country, but would not go into details. He confirmed that Egyptian security forces flooded the smuggling tunnels between Sinai and Gaza in an effort to control the smuggling of weapons.
