Sharansky: 28 Years for Pollard is Far Too Long
A Jewish Agency conclave consisting of the heads of Jewish communities in Israel and around the world, called on U.S. President Barack H. Obama to act immediately to free Jonathan Pollard from prison. The call was made at a meeting of top Jewish Agency officials in Jerusalem Tuesday. In a unanimous decision, the group said that as Pollard approaches the end of his 28th year in a U.S. prison, serving a life sentence, his health has been failing and his physical condition has seriously deteriorated. After years in prison, he suffers from many diseases, and he continues to worsen.
