MK Yitzchak Herzog (Labor) on Monday evening criticized an opinion by the Knesset’s Legal Advisor, Eyal Yinon, on statements by MKs at the plenum and at committees. Yinon warned that criminal liability shall apply to MKs who publicly expose state secrets.

“Your opinion could be interpreted as minimizing the inherent immunity of a Knesset member, which can be a slippery and dangerous slope," Herzog wrote Yinon.
